Chapters Fifteen and Sixteen Summary

In Chapter Fifteen, at Andy's house, the Mobile Mechanic tries to flirt with Meredith. Andy watches and calls Meredith into the house. Meredith asks Andy what will happen when he is able to walk again. She is afraid that he will walk away from her but doesn't tell him this. Meredith tells him that she just wants everything to stay the same. He tells her that when he comes back, he'll walk over to her house and they can start over again. As Meredith runs out of the house, she runs straight into the path of her father carrying bags of trash out of the house. Although she doesn't want to, Meredith remembers a time when her father helped her, and feels compelled to help him with the trash.

He asks Meredith to go inside with him...
