Chapter 10 Summary

The note is a crushing, incomprehensible betrayal of years of friendship. Its tone is taunting, mocking, and deceiving. Gustad knows Bilimoria has trapped him and robbed him of choice. Dilnavaz is surprised Gustad has finished his prayers so quickly, and catches the trouble in his voice and on his face. Reading the note, she wants to turn everything over to Inspector Bamji.
