Summary

In Chapter 13, Alix thought it was not possible when she saw Kelley standing on her front steps. Alix had fantasies of how she might meet Kelley again but none of them had gone this way. Alix’s friends convinced her to pretend like Kelley was just someone she knew from high school. Alix was mortified when she considered how happy and proud she had been earlier when she thought that she would be hosting five black guests for Thanksgiving.
