Chapter 11 Summary

On Wednesday, Cindy accompanied her father to Los Angeles to film the television show. On Monday, Paul, Cindy, and Lindy sit down to watch with Shawn watching from his place by the window in the kitchen. The host opens the show with a controversial tag line, following it by introducing Mr. McDaniel. Then the host compares parents like Earl Detraux to the Susan Smiths and Diane Downs of the world. Paul comes into the kitchen and puts a potato chip on Shawn's tongue. Shortly afterward, Shawn begins to have a seizure. It is not a big one and Shawn is able to fight it off long enough to watch the end of the show.

Mr. McDaniel claims to love Shawn, just as he believes Earl Detraux loved his son. Mr. McDaniel says that no.....
