Chapter 6 Summary

Shawn says that his seizures appear painful but in reality, he loves his seizures. When a seizure hits, Shawn's vision changes until it is as though he can see into his brain and he can see every image he ever saw or dreamed. Once, the seizures would cause all of Shawn's muscles to contract, but now he has medication that prevents this, which makes the seizures affect only the brain. Now when Shawn's seizures begin he will laugh uncontrollably, which is something he loves, though it makes his family nervous. Then the room spins. Ever since the doctors got the dosage of this medication right, Shawn began floating out of his body during a seizure.
