The Littles' House

The Littles' house is where Stuart spends the first half of the novel. As a mouse, Stuart has difficulty navigating the large human house. However, Stuart uses his small appearance to enhance the life of his family by helping out around the house (for example, by finding his mother's ring). In this way, the Littles' House becomes the place where Stuart realizes his differences are not a disadvantage, but rather a unique skill-set, enabling him to help others.
