Blackmail

The blackmail theme is introduced at the outset when one of Guber's friends takes pictures of him onstage with Erin and yells "Blackmail." It's all fun and games when the joke is that the pictures will be mailed to Guber's future mother-in-law. Seconds later, however, Dilbeck hits Guber over the head with the champagne bottle while Guber's friend with the camera is still taking pictures. The blackmail and greed continues when Killian tries to blackmail Dilbeck through Moldowsky over what he saw. That attempt at blackmail results in Killian's death. Mordecai and Joyce pick up where Killian left off and meet an untimely end themselves. Mordecai terms what they are doing as seeking a settlement.
