Chapter 22 Summary

Erin table dances for some young bankers while Urbana takes on all comers in the creamed corn wrestling pit. She reflects on what Garcia told her earlier: Killian had been killed over sugar and the fact that he threatened the career of a crooked politician. Garcia told her he wanted to catch the killers before they came looking for her. Erin could not forget that it was her sexy dancing that fatally infatuated Killian. Erin remembered what her mother had said about strip clubs, that they were degrading to women. Her mother was wrong.
