Chapter 16 Summary

Darrell leaves Angela with his sister Rita before heading to St. Augustine to deliver some stolen wheelchairs to a nursing home. Prior to leaving, he gives his two detectives the name of an alleged heroin dealer. When he is about 1/3 of the way up the coast, he realizes that the dealer he named was killed a few years earlier.

Dilbeck makes it to his fundraiser with makeup covering the bruise on his forehead. Dilbeck lavishes absurd praise on his fellow congressmen whose votes he needs for the sugar subsidy.
