Chapter 11 Summary

Dilbeck and Christopher Rojo are back at the Flesh Farm strip club. They are celebrating Moldowsky's news that the blackmail problem is solved. Dilbeck was not informed of any details. By dawn the congressman and Rojo, accompanied by two girls from the club who were paid $1,000, are 80 miles away on a levee on the shore of Lake Okeechobee. The levee overlooks Rojo's family farm. This is the first time Rojo visited the farm. Rojo tells Dilbeck that the money he spent on each girl is equivalent to three weeks pay for one of the workers. Dilbeck cannot believe it. The workers only make $30 a day for cutting a ton of cane an hour.
