Chapter 4 Summary

Erin ventures to Darrell's house to verify that he no longer lives there. When no one answers her knock at the door, she sneaks around through the back. She walks inside and notices that Darrell has cleaned this furnished apartment bare of literally everything. He has gone so far as to remove the tile from the kitchen floor. She walks into Angie's room and finds every present that she gave her daughter scattered on the floor either decapitated or otherwise mutilated. Darrell left a heart shaped mirror on the wall. She thinks that he left it there so that she could see her own reaction to the mayhem.
