Chapter 2 Summary

Malcolm J. "Moldy" Moldowsky visits Congressman Dilbeck at the latter's office. He calls Dilbeck a "card-carrying shithead." Moldowsky is short, but dresses very well and always wears expensive colognes. Moldowsky, once brought up to sped on the previos night's events, sees problems in the situation. Dilbeck promises that it will never happen again, and that he has been doing some soul searching. Moldowsky believes the problem is in his pants, not his soul. In an election year, Moldowsky tells Dilbeck, it is best not to get caught at a strip club. Moldowsky asks him why he hit the other man with the bottle; he suspects that Dilbeck has something going on with the dancer on stage. Dilbeck, however, maintains that he does not even know her name. Moldowsky reminds him of his campaign.....
