Summary

Chapter 9 is titled “My Type.” Andrea also typesets and used to work at the letterpress in college before dropping out. Andrea found old letters and collected them to do printing. Andrea starts looking for an old photo album for something to contribute to an art show. She remembers that the album is at Flynn’s from when they lived together. Andrea goes to Flynn’s to get the album. Andrea and Flynn make awkward conversation and Flynn tries to explain that Flynn and Vivian did not mean to hurt Andrea, but Andrea does not want to listen. When Andrea leaves she wonders how Flynn is changing and if “the Flynn I loved was on the way out” (82).
