Summary

Chapter 12 is the first chapter that followed the godspawn, Sarai, Sparrow, Ruby, Feral, and Minya, who lived in the citadel. Sarai listened to Sparrow and Ruby argue about whether or not they would be able to kiss a ghost. Sarai had just woken up and felt groggy from the effects of the lull which kept her from dreaming as she slept. Sarai deduced that Ruby had kissed the ghost named Kem, who served the godspawn as a footman, because Ruby easily became bored. Feral found Sarai, who felt bad that her irregular sleeping schedule left Feral responsible over Sparrow and Ruby for most of the day. Sarai told Feral that she kissed people every night when her moths landed on people’s eyebrows and she entered their dreams, but Feral told her that was not kissing. Ruby appeared and seized Feral...
