Pleasure, The Witness, The Day Stalin Died, Wine, He Summary

In "Pleasure", Mary and Tommy Rogers plan to go to the south of France on vacation, a trip that had been an annual outing until the previous four years, during which time Mary had gone with her daughter in order to help with her grandchildren. This year, her daughter is going away with "the other grandmother", leaving Mary free to go on vacation with Tommy. As soon as Mary is finished taking the Christmas decorations down, she begins sewing clothing for the trip. She works on this through early summer. When Tommy worries about the cost, she waves the concern aside. She also ignores the suggestion that they should reserve a room.
