Chapter 57-63 Summary

In chapter fifty-seven, Kahlan finally reaches Aydindril. Chandalen waits for her out in the forest. Kahlan finds that the seats in the council have been taken over by those claiming that magic is done with; Zedd is no where to be found in Aydindril. A woman named Jebra asks Kahlan if she has any friends with her. Kahlan tells Jebra that she has Chandalen in the woods. The woman begins to talk to Kahlan but suddenly goes white and faints.

Zedd and Addie awake in a carriage with no memory of who they are or what they were doing. The driver tells Zedd that he and Addie were very sick and three sorceresses healed them but had to take away their memories in order to do it.
