Chapter 19-27 Summary
In chapter nineteen Sister Verna tries to help Richard begin to learn how to use his magic. While trying to focus, Richard sees a vision of Darken Rahl at the Garden of Life who tells Richard to come watch him tear the veil. Richard doesn't tell Sister Verna what he has seen. Richard is difficult to deal with and Sister Verna tells Richard that when they reach the Palace of the Prophets that she will be hung for bringing Richard there.
Chapter twenty begins with one of the Sisters of the Light, Sister Margret, following the Sisters of the Dark. The Sisters of the Dark know that Sister Margret is following and a young wizard, Jedidiah, helps them to murder her. Sister Margret sends the knowledge of who killed her into a necklace she is wearing, a necklace that Jedidiah made her, before she dies hoping that someone will...
