The most obvious theme is the careful look at conformity and how it limits us, making us latch onto false values and means of evaluating others. We need only look to the personality (or lack thereof) of Wayne Parr. Wayne is gorgeous, but not much more of anything else. He is testimony to the fact that we tend to look at the outside and compare the exterior of people in order to evaluate.
