Lipid House

Located in Palm Beach, Florida, Lipid House is the extravagant event venue where Kiki Pew Fitzsimmons disappears at the start of the novel. After getting drunk and taking ecstasy at a charity ball, Kiki wanders off on the grounds and is strangled and eaten by a python. When the manager, Tripp Teabull, discovers what has happened on the property, he does everything in his power to keep the truth from the police, fearing bad publicity and a decline in business. After he has Angie euthanize the python, he hires Uric and Keever to come to dispose of the dead reptile, and the old woman's body inside her.

As investigators frantically pursue Kiki's case, they return often to Lipid House, attempting to find any evidence of her fate. When word of Kiki's death on the grounds gets out, Teabull is fired and Lipid House suffers accordingly.
