Heartbreak

The tailor falls in love and finally finds his love returned. The tailor believes he will marry this young woman and give her a perfect life. They plan to work side by side in his tailor business, her spinning yarn and he turning it into cloth and then custom clothing. However, the tailor soon learns that the miller has made an offer for the young woman and her father believes that the miller can give her a better life even though they do not love one another.

The tailor does all he can to convince the maiden's father that he can provide for her. The tailor makes a gold dress out of straw for the young woman, sacrificing his own leg in the process. The maiden, however, is so shallow that she will not marry a man with a deformity. The young woman marries the miller instead, convincing...
