Summary

Chapter 13 - Bernie and Chee leave the hospital. They decide to drop off the report at the AIRC, but Dr. Collingsworth has already received a copy. Apparently it had just been misplaced. Bernie asks him about the undervalued items, but Collingsworth is confused. Bernie pieces together that the first and last page were removed from the report, which strikes her as odd. Leaphorn isn’t the type to make a mistake like that. She gives the doctor an updated copy that includes the missing pages. Collingsworth admits that it’s odd for an item to be undervalued; usually the problem is that they’re overvalued. Bernie offers to follow up on it for Collingsworth, who is happy for the help. Bernie points out to the secretary that one of the surveillance cameras isn't working.
