Summary

Chapter 9 - Chee finishes talking to Largo on the phone and tells Bernie that the police went through the list of contacts and they have found a possible suspect, Garrison Tsosie. Leaphorn had arrested a brother of his shortly before retiring, and Garrison himself already had a police record. He is a likely suspect, and they have a motive for him. Neither Chee nor Bernie is entirely convinced, but they recognize that it’s at least a worthy lead to follow.

They get another call, this time from Agent Cordova. He wants Bernie to come down to FBI headquarters the next morning to see a hypnotist that might help her remember more of what happened.
