Chapter 8, Doma Ivanova, Summary

Novinha lingers at the xenobiologists station long after she has finished work because she dreads returning home to her children. Novinha does go home and quickly finds that a stranger has come to visit. Novinha goes into the kitchen and rests her head on the table. The speaker comes to the kitchen and speaks to her about her children, suggesting he knows them better than she does. Novinha becomes enraged and follows the speaker into her own bedroom where he is laughing with Miro. Again they argue as Novinha attempts to convince the speaker to go away.
