Part 2, Chapter 15 Summary

Milkman is, understandably, ecstatic after learning that his grandfather could fly. From the time he returns to Sweet's house, through his return to Michigan, and up until he visits Pilate, he is elated at the stories he heard from Susan Byrd. However, Milkman's happiness is interrupted when he enters Pilate's house and she hits him over the head with a wine bottle.

Milkman wakes up chained to a wall in Pilate's cellar, and he tries to get a grasp on things. He knows that Pilate does not want to kill him, but he does not know why she attacked him.
