Part 2, Chapter 13 Summary

The story returns to the day when Hagar last tried to kill Milkman and Guitar finds her standing there over the couch, still frozen. Seeing her, Guitar finally helps her break out of her trance, at least partially, and he gives her a ride home. On the drive, Guitar realizes that Hagar has been so spoiled by Pilate and Reba that she cannot accept it when someone does not give her what she wants, as Milkman does when he refuses to give her his love.
