Chapters 20-22 Summary

Cara is zipped back to earth, into the house that she and her grandmother lived at. Things are eerily quite there. She walks into the living room to find not her grandmother, but her diabolical ancestor Beloved waiting for her. Beloved tries to get Cara to give her the amulet, but Cara refuses. They wrestle over it, with neither party gain the upper hand. Beloved has brought with a group of Hunters, the men in her family she trains to hunt and kill unicorns, with her. Among them is Cara's father, Ian Hunter. They soon come to their master's aid and help her subdue Cara. Lightfoot and Jacques then appear out of nowhere and began to fight the Hunters.
