Summary

When nobody is able to get the power back on in the Tuba City Justice Center, Palmer makes the decision to halt the proceedings for the day, and to continue the next day. As Bernie walks to the back of the building, where delegates are departing in their limousines, she sees Bebe Durango smacking the hood of a limousine with his protest sign. When Bernie attempts to stop him, Bebe takes a swing at Bernie, but misses, and is quickly subdued. Bernie drives Palmer back to the hotel in her personal car, and he is dejected to hear that it was his nephew Richard who had died in the Shiprock explosion, as he was close with his nephew.
