Grimoire

Grimoires are books of magic that can be used for good or for evil. Elijah travels the world studying grimoires to use dark magic to increase his power and exact revenge on his enemies. Grimoires are also studied and used for good by Joseph Boyer, who puts down the Dead and evil spirits.

Goggles

Goggles are invented and used by Daniel and Eleanor to detect the presence of spirits, spiritual energy, and the dead. They are composed of a double layer of lenses, between which magnetic materials and grave dirt are deposited. The lenses respond to spiritual energy accordingly by clearing up, or dirtying further.

Parasol

A parasol, a small umbrella meant to shelter ladies from the sunlight, is carried and used as a weapon against the Dead by Eleanor. Daniel later buys a parasol as a gift for Eleanor. It is a replacement for her...
