Summary

Louise tells Cordelia that Lavinia has gone on a road trip with her new friends. Cordelia asks if Lavinia has been taking her meds, and if she has been drinking. Cordelia warns Louise that Lavinia had seemed fine before she attempted suicide, and tells Louise not to “protect” Lavinia if she has been engaging in harmful activities. Just then, Rex rings the buzzer to get in. Cordelia lets him in, assuming that he is there to see Lavinia, and spitefully tells him that Lavinia is out of town. Louise says something similar, trying to keep Cordelia finding out the truth. Rex seems to realize what Louise is doing and plays along. Rex leaves.
