Chapter 53 Summary

Tranny, the Filipino boy, gets into the dinghy, and Hiro gathers up some water and ammunition. Hiro hears a wounded man babbling on the deck of the boat and knows that he needs to put the man out of his misery. The man has the top half of his head blown off and is obviously dead, but his vocal cords must be twitching. Hiro sees an antenna on the man's head, and tries to pull it off, but the head moves with the antenna. This is when Hiro realizes that the antenna is attached to the man's skull. Hiro switches on the radar in his goggles, and he can see that the man has several microchips in his skull and some wires that extend from the antenna into the man's brain. Hiro realizes.....
