Chapter 43 Summary

Y.T. wakes up in the back of a van. She has a headache from the stun grenade. The van drives for eight hours, and Y.T. begins to get scared. The van pulls over and Y.T. sees the sign for a Reverend Wayne's Pearly Gates. Two women get into the van and start fussing over Y.T. Y.T. learns the women are named Marla and Bonnie, and they stay with Y.T. all of the time, even when she goes to the bathroom. They all get into a van that is crammed with people. There are no seats, but the floor is carpeted. Y.T. sits between Bonnie and Marla and they hold her hands. Every so often someone in the van starts babbling, and the rest of the people join in. Y.T. just thinks it.....
