Chapter 38 Summary

They walk to the bathroom, where Y.T.'s mom urinates in a pan. The proctor puts the urine into a vial, and they take the elevator to the polygraph room. Y.T.'s mom sits in the chair in the middle of the room, and the blood pressure cuff tightens around her arm. Electrodes prick her scalp, and she feels an injection in her forearm. Y.T.'s mom hates these tests, but it is a normal part of working for the Feds. A computer-generated voice asks Y.T.'s mom some basic questions designed to get her relaxed and used to the process. The computer voice asks Y.T.'s mom about Y.T. and her job. Y.T.'s mom says that Y.T. has a job as a Kourier. The voice asks if Y.T. has done anything unusual lately. Y.T.'s mom says that.....
