Chapter 36 Summary

Once Hiro is on the freeway, he connects to the Metaverse and enters his office. The Raft has so many ships lashed to it that it cannot navigate. It rides on ocean currents, traveling around the Pacific Ocean in a circle. A few years prior, the Raft picked up refugees in Southeast Asia, then a year later it passed the Aleutian islands, and is now floating by the coast of America, where many of the smaller vessels will disconnect from the Raft and try to enter America. Then, the Raft will continue its circle around the ocean. Hiro asks The Librarian who these Sumerian gods actually were.
