Chapter 34 Summary

Y.T. heads back out to Griffith Park with a new plank and a new set of Knight Vision goggles. She coasts down the side of the canyon, freefalling in places. She finds the woman with the shaved head that seemed harmless last time, and asks her to chat. The woman tells Y.T. that she was a systems programmer for a company in California and that one day her system crashed and then she became sick. Then the woman decided to go to the Raft. Y.T. asks the woman what they did on the raft, and the woman shows Y.T. her arm, which is full of needle holes. The woman explains that they gave blood until their veins didn't work, then they were sent here to the park.

Y.T. notices that the man she dubbed.....
