Hiro connects to the Metaverse and enters The Black Sun, where Juanita is waiting for him in one of the private rooms. Juanita tells Hiro that Da5id doesn't have a hardware problem, he has a software problem, that Da5id's brain had a snow crash, like his computer. Juanita explains to Hiro that as a hacker, Da5id has a hard-wired ability to process binary information, and that the bitmap image transferred a large amount of information directly into Da5id's optic nerve. Hiro did not get infected because he was not looking directly into the bitmap. Juanita explains that the drug Snow Crash is not really a drug, it's a distilled blood serum from other infected people, laced with cocaine to get the users addicted. Juanita also explains that it's L. Bob Rife's private church.....
