Chapter 8 Summary

Hiro thinks that it is ironic that Juanita is in The Black Sun with a crude black-and-white avatar, since she was the one that developed all of the nuances of facial development. Da5id notices that Hiro is approaching, and sends him a subtle expression to not come by right now, so Hiro goes to the bar to see if he can overhear any information that may be useful. Hiro opens Bigboard again to scan the list of guests. He notices that there is a temporary partition in the back corner, but the only name he recognizes from the list is L. Bob Rife, an American cable TV mogul. Hiro is interrupted by Juanita, who is coming up behind him. Juanita tells Hiro that he hopes he doesn't try Snow Crash, and he laughs.....
