Chapter 7 Summary

The Black Sun is quite large on the inside. As opposed to out on The Street, avatars in The Black Sun are solid, and can't pass through each other. The Black Sun has daemon bouncers to throw out undesirables. Hiro quietly brings up an unauthorized program that he wrote called Bigboard that he uses to learn who is in The Black Sun and who they are talking to. Hiro sees that Da5id is in this usual spot, and Hiro makes his way towards Da5id. Hiro sees that Da5id is talking to a black-and-white avatar, and Hiro recognizes her immediately as Juanita Marquez, who he met in college. They ended up working together at Black Sun Systems, Inc, where Juanita developed code for the faces of avatars to express emotion. They had a relationship.....
