Danilo Cavesey is the son of Nerissa Cavesey's brother-in-law. Danilo was raised in California, therefore Nerissa never met him until a few months after her cancer diagnosis. Danilo came to visit Nerissa and she was so impressed by him that she decided to rewrite her will and leave him everything after her gifts to her numerous friends. This includes her eleven horses in South Africa and all the money left in her estate after the estate duty paid for the gifts she left to her friends. Shortly after Nerissa tells this to Danilo, her horses in South Africa stop winning their races.
