Chapters 14-15 Summary

In chapter 14, Link wakes to find himself handcuffed to the steering wheel of his car, just like in the movie he just finished filming. When it is clear he will not be able to free himself, Link begins thinking through the possibilities of how he got there. Clearly he was chloroformed because the affects linger for several hours. Link suspects Danilo did it, but thinks he had to have had an accomplice in order to leave the area by car since it is too dangerous to walk. Link believes Danilo has done this to make it look like a publicity stunt gone wrong in order to inherit the gold mine himself when Nerissa dies.
