One winter day as dry snow is starting to fall, Will goes up to his favorite place in his family's house - the dormer attic, where he keeps his telescope and likes to go to think and hide. This, he comments in narration, is where his family keeps all the forthcoming Christmas presents and the so-called "wedding presents," an important piece of family history.
