The First Day/Eyes Wide Open Summary

"Skinned" is a 2005 Young Adult science fiction novel by Robin Wasserman. The novel is narrated by 17-year-old Lia Kahn and chronicles the first several months of her life after she is critically injured in a car crash and her brain is downloaded into an artificial body. The novel is set in the future, although exactly how far in the future is not revealed. "Skinned" is the first book in a trilogy by the author which features Lia Kahn as the main character and narrator.
