Summary

In Chapter 6, Richard asks Trent to go camping with Blake and his family. Beth pretends to be Blake’s mom on the phone, so Trent agrees to let Richard go. Richard then hops in the car with Skink, explaining that Malley must be on an island. Skink believes the loud horn Richard heard must mean she is on an island with a very big bridge. Skink drives toward Clearwater, since it is the most recent place Malley has used her phone. When Richard asks, Skink explains he lost his eye from some people who like to beat up the homeless for fun. As they drive, the former governor stops the car from time to time to collect roadkill.
