Ginger

Ginger is the wife of Richard, the mother of Julia, the daughter of Glory and Solly, and the sister of Mimi, Callie, and Charlie. An elementary school nurse, Ginger is very much a worrier. She craves routine and is overprotective of Julia, as Ginger was deeply affected both bv Charlie’s death and by her mother’s callous handling of the accident’s aftermath. Ginger is hurt deeply when Julia rebels and leaves home, and stunned by Glory’s death. She reunites with both Mimi and Callie in order to return to the Vineyard both to bury their mother, and to learn the truth about the past. Ginger is heartened by the unbreakable family bond she has both with her sisters, and even with her daughter, as a video link of her daughter’s most recent performance is sent to her.
