"The Correct Grip":

After being attacked by a man, the wife of the man called the narrator, thinking she was someone with whom the man was having an affair. The wife revealed that the man had once attacked her with a knife and left her a scar on the forehead. The woman casually asked for the narrator's description and pleasantly acknowledged that they looked similar. The woman asked if she should continue the relationship but the narrator declined to offer any relationship advice, instead giving information about a women's shelter.
