Chapters 29 through 45 Summary

In chapter thirty-four, Grace is worried about Olivia, who hasn't been to school. Sam asks if she is bothered by her parents' lack of caring toward her and she says she wishes for the close-knit "family" Sam has with the pack members. Sam says that has drawbacks as well and that he feels he's nothing without them. Grace and Sam are watching television when her parents arrive home. Grace tells Sam to remain on the couch, that it's time for them to meet. Sam is obviously nervous but Grace says she's tired of hiding and he agrees. Mr. and Mrs. Brisbane are welcoming and Sam asks to see Mrs. Brisbane's studio. After her parents leave the room, Grace asks Sam why he was "sucking up", and he says it's because he wants them to like him in case he's around for...
