Chapter Twenty: Sunday, July 23, 1555 hours Summary

Luke gradually becomes aware of the fact that it is pouring. He stands too fast, and falls back down into the surf. Charla, Ian and Will are still unconscious and the hat sits between them, filled with water. He crawls over and sticks his face into the hat, slurping water that has never tasted better. It takes great effort for him to stop. He takes the hat carefully and pours liquid into Will's mouth, but Will chokes, still unable to keep anything down. Next, he moistens Charla's lips and her eyes and mouth open at the same time. She drinks at his instruction, almost choking herself, but not spilling a drop. They attend to Ian together, and he quickly regains consciousness as well, but Will remains unchanged. Luke spills water on his face, and forces...
