Chapter Fourteen: Monday, July 17, 1640 hours Summary

The bow of the Phoenix continues to sink and now even the upper bunks are under water. Luke and Will discuss the possibility that the CNC is actually just testing them. Luke blames their entire predicament on J.J. Lyssa manages to get the engine back together again after drying it out piece by piece. She is ready to test fire it when Luke reminds her that the Captain told them never to do so without the blower. Lyssa is reluctant to use it. She is concerned that if they start the blower, they might drain the only charge left in the battery before they get the engine started. She tells them they will improvise, and gives Luke and Will beach towels, telling them to stand over the hatch and fan them when she gives...
