Honoka'a

Honoka'a is the location in Hawaii where the Flores children grew up. It is also the place where Noa fell into the water and was delivered back up to his family by the sharks. The location is mythic to the family, especially to Malia. After discovering Noa's gift not long after, the family later moves from Honoka'a to Kalihi.

Kalihi

Kalihi is the location in Hawaii where the family moves after discovering Noa's healing capabilities. Because his gift is earning them money, they can afford a larger and more comfortable home. Kalihi also grants Noa a wider number of patients. Malia and Augie stay in Kalihi even after their children move to the mainland. Later, Noa returns here before venturing off into the valleys. Dean and Kaui also each return separately both just prior to, and just after, Noa's death. Dean does not ultimately move back, but Kaui...
