In "Perhaps Decaf", Rachel helps Jane practice going to a coffee shop by handling her money and practicing what to say if anyone questions her about her arm. Rachel announces Jane is ready, but at the coffee shop, Jane feels she cannot do this. She hates Rachel for a moment when Rachel insists she can go inside for ten minutes, yet she knows Rachel is right as she enters the coffee shop. As Jane is "Sipping" her coffee, no one stares at her. In "Failing Expectations", Jane has heard of a girl who also lost her arm in a shark attack but resumed her life mere months later.
