Chapter Seven Summary

Lily takes Jack to his apartment, sneaking in and being very careful not to be seen. Parking, Lily follows Jack up the stairs, expecting that Jack has already entered his apartment. Instead Lily finds Jack in a confrontation with Darcy Orchard and another man who want to know where "Jared" was the night before. Darcy tell Jack that they had called him after the burglary and he had not answered. Though Jack does not want anyone to make the connection between himself and Lily, Bard walks up and puts her arm around Jack, telling the men that she was with Jack the night before. Darcy backs down, accepting the explanation at face value, and leaves. Jack is angry at Lily for making herself known and the two argue before Lily heads to Deedra's apartment for its weekly cleaning.
